Shri Shikshayatan School celebrated National Science Day 2026 with a thoughtfully organized assembly that highlighted the spirit of scientific inquiry and honoured the contributions of women scientists in India. The event commemorated the discovery of the Raman Effect by C. V. Raman and aligned with the national theme, “Women in Science: Catalyzing Viksit Bharat.” The programme began with a warm welcome, followed by an insightful introduction emphasizing the importance of science in everyday life and its role in national development. Students also shared short presentations on inspiring women scientists, encouraging young minds to pursue careers in STEM fields.
The highlight of the celebration was a series of interactive experiments from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, where students demonstrated key concepts such as Bernoulli’s Principle, gravitation, Newton’s laws of motion, capillary action, reflection and refraction of light, density, static electricity, and non-Newtonian fluids. These live demonstrations made complex theories more relatable and easier to understand. The event also promoted curiosity, critical thinking, and innovation among students, reinforcing the idea that science is not just a subject but a way of understanding the world. The assembly concluded with an appreciation of participants and a message encouraging students to continue exploring and questioning the world around them.
