Welham Boys’ School emerged victorious at the All-India Golden Jubilee Basketball Tournament 2026, securing a dominant 73–50 win over Wynberg Allen School, Mussoorie, in the final. Hosted on campus, the tournament featured ten leading schools from across India and followed a league-cum-knockout format, with 22 matches played over four days. The event highlighted intense competition, high skill levels, and strong sportsmanship among participating teams.
In the final clash, Welham Boys’ (Blue Team) displayed superior coordination and control, maintaining a steady lead to claim the championship. Individual honours were also awarded, with Chatinya of Wynberg Allen School named Most Promising Player, and Ealvis Tallang of Welham Boys’ School receiving the Most Valuable Player award. The closing ceremony was attended by alumnus Mohit Saigal (Batch of 1990), who commended the players for their outstanding performances.
