Delhi, Ludhiana Schools Shine as ACG Jr. NBA 3v3 National Champions Crowned

 

New Delhi, March 25 (RNS):
The 2025-26 ACG Jr. NBA 3v3 National Tournament concluded on a high note in New Delhi, with Nehru World School clinching the boys’ title and Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School emerging as champions in the girls’ category. The national finals marked the culmination of a nationwide grassroots basketball initiative organized in collaboration with the Basketball Federation of India. The tournament witnessed participation from nearly 8,000 students representing over 900 schools across 10 cities, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Prayagraj. In the All-Star Championship, Bengaluru’s girls’ team and Delhi’s boys’ team secured top honours. Meanwhile, The Shishukunj International School (U-14 Girls) and SK School (U-14 Boys) were awarded the ‘Most Improved Team’ titles. Individual brilliance stood out, with Jiya Sodhi and Jatin Sharma earning the ‘Most Valuable Player’ awards, sponsored by Skechers. Dhruvi Pisal (Mumbai All-Star) topped the scoring charts in girls’ category with 71 points, while Mohd. Sameer from Maharana Pratap Inter College dominated the boys’ category with 97 points.

Held from March 19 to 24 at the KD Jadhav Indoor Arena, the six-day event combined competitive action with development initiatives. These included referee and coaching clinics led by international experts, further strengthening grassroots basketball in India. The tournament once again highlighted the growing popularity and reach of basketball among young athletes across the country.
